Journal entry- 12/30/10

Journal Entry - 12/30/10

The last couple of days you've had many things going on. Yesterday we took you to the doctor to find out why you were sick. Unfortunately I'm having problems with your normal doctor and clinic... So you are going to a new one with a better doctor and staff. They helped us out tons... tho of course you are still sick today. Your new pediatrician will be the awesome Dr. James Liesen. He seen you in the well baby nursery when you were born. During your visit they checked your weight, you are 12 lbs now!

Yesterday your Aunt Sam and Aunt Tay came to visit too. They love to come and visit and you were super entertained! Your new thing tho is to entertain all of us!! you are so

milestones
alert and wide awake
you already hold your head up
you  life your entire torso with your arms
you say ahh, goo, ya, k, and other assortment of vowels and consonants
you smile very big and laugh out loud
you roll from belly to back occasionally
you are a supported sitter
you focus very very well on everyone you see
tho still a mama and dada girl!!

there are more its just all I can think of right now... I'll do your three month checklists on the 6th! thats right Jan. 6th you'll be 3 months old o_O

but yes you just love to entertain us in all the ways listed above. We all spent the night together hanging out and playing card games like phase 10, while you sat on laps and played, and daddy played Call of Duty- Black Ops

Be honest right now daddy hates games like board games and card games... we will see what games you get him to play soon ;)

then today your Grandpa Ronnie came up to visit you! he brought you a super cute dumbo elephant that plays music. It also has big floppy ears we can play peek-a-boo with. all the rest of us kids got money! Trust me one day you'll want that!! oh gosh I can't wait... I'll need a couple jobs. hahaha.

You stayed home with daddy and napped more since you were still sick with your little stomach bug and the rest of us went to the mall to do some shopping! I took myself to the amazingly awesome store that no one else will go to me with like daddy for instance I went to Sephora!! I had to pick me up some bare essentials foundation. Its one of the best kinds out there I can find... but you do drop a pretty penny on it.

for a nice 25 buckaroos

after that we headed back home so daddy could go a do his 5-10 shift at work. We spent the night relaxing and playing like usual. I'm attempting to start a late night routine for you, so I began that tonight and you loved it!

we took a 30 min nap, ate, diaper change, bath, massage, swaddle, storytime, bedtime!

and you did another first tonight... it was sooo much fun too!!!

well since you are so sick I thought I would like a little bath. It turned into a splash time fun! You were just relaxing in the tub and you slapped your arm down, so I laughed and you realized that if keep doing it, mommy would keep laughing. So you covered my entire kitchen, floors, me, you, soaked 5 towels... but we had fun!! I know you will love when this summer hits and you get to go to the pool.

Well its almost 11 pm now and you are sound asleep in bed and daddy and I are relaxing to some tv and food :)

love you
xoxo mommy!

we will begin a new year. (bucket list/goals)

with the start of the new year, its a start of a new focus for myself.

I'm focusing on one word this next year and I'll be reminding myself often and reflecting on it as much as I can, and that word is

Remember

You will be turning 3 months soon, I'm finally settling into the new lifestyle of motherhood, and daddy has picked up fatherhood perfectly! In that I'm able to step back for a second and see where 2010 really took me, and exactly where I want 2011 to take me. The problem I have is I often forget... I lay my goals aside, my aspirations away, my photographing and recordkeeping on the back burner, I forget to exercise, I wont keep up with taking care of myself, and lay my thoughts aside for everyday life. I also forget how absolutely lucky I am.... when I get to stressed to remember. That isn't okay, and thats what I want to teach you and pass down to you baby... I want you to be a strong and confident woman.

So I would like to list my "bucket list" and goals for 2011! I wont say I'll successfully finished, but I will focus on them every second of my life.

goals-
Spend the most time possible with you
spend every second I can with Daddy

a new project- project 333!!

a very interesting concept on minimalistic fashion! I've always been a minimalist anyway, and so is daddy. Neither of us have paid much attention beyond that, but sometimes I forget and I think that I need tons of items to make up a wardrobe...  you really don't!! I've decided this year to focus on my life and keeping things as minimalistic as possible. So I thought about giving this a try and it would help me get rid of all the extra junk that I don't need.

here are the quick guides for Project 333
* they are a site dedicated to helping women and men keeping themselves minimalistic and basic!!*
site here- be more with less

The Basics

When: January 1 – March 31, 2011 (It’s never too late to start so join in anytime!)

What: 33 items including clothing, accessories, jewelry, outerwear and shoes.

What not: these items are not counted as part of the 33 items – wedding ring or other sentimental piece of jewelry that you never take off, underwear, sleep wear, in-home lounge wear,  and workout clothing (you can only wear your workout clothing to workout)

How: Choose your 33 items, box up the remainder of your fashion statement, seal it with tape and put it out of site.

What else: consider that you are creating a wardrobe that you can live, work and play in for three months. Remember that this is not a project in suffering. If your clothes don’t fit or are in poor condition, replace them.

First Timers

This is for those of you new to Project 333. You may have just heard about it, or perhaps you have been quietly watching others live with less for the past three months and you are ready to jump in.
  1. Take inventory. I recommend the How to Make Space approach.
  2. Working with your “I Love” pile of clothing, start to build your wardrobe. It will help to make a list on paper.
  3. Consider signature items like a trench coat or pair of boots. Your signature item might be your sunglasses. You will find that having one well made version of something will be far better than 10 of the knock-off.
  4. Once you start dressing with less, pay less attention to what you are wearing, or not wearing and more attention to something more important.
  5. You are welcome to incorporate some of the Bonus Rules but I highly recommend starting with The Basics – listed above.
  6. Get connected and ask questions. The Project 333 community is awesome! I’ve included a few important links below to help.
I'll be working through my wardrobe and I'll be working on my list of 33 items I'll wear between January and July :)

I'll be back with photos and a list soon ;)

Project Love ME: prompt 1- iDream

prompt: iDream 1
Your dreams and hopes can tell us so much about who you are and what is important to you.  This week we will focus on your current dream(s). It can be anything- big or small. Tell us why it’s your dream-  is it because it will make your life easier and give you more time, it’s something you always wanted to do or will help you be the person you want to be or just because it will fulfill you? Have you taken any steps to realize your dream?

I dream about the future with my daughter. Shes everything to me. I dream about who she will grow up to be.
What color will her eyes be?
What color will her hair be?
what will her first word be?
What will her first word be?
What will she love to eat?
its just all I dream and think about now. How and what can I do to love her fully and to the most of my ability everyday. I dream of us living in a quaint town, in a one level ranch style home with the three of us and our dog Marcie. I'll have a beautiful back yard where she can play and run around in the summer while we play. Everything is placed perfectly and every color I love, filled with paintings and photos from us. I hope josh and I work in jobs we both love that keeps us happy and content, that we don't overwork so we can spend all the time  with her as we can.
Shes all I dream about... my beautiful baby!!
xoxo Mommy :)

I would like to recall all the fabulous time when I get older. I want to make sure I don't dwell on the past, but look back on the past with great pleasure. I'll go back in the future and recall all memories and keep and record them for both my daughter and me. I'll also focus on remembering the everyday today life. I'll work on centering myself and spending absolutely all time with my loved ones. I want to make sure I don't forget about myself and make sure I recall all things I set forth and try my best to keep with my goals in 2011.

a note from Ali-
Some years I’ve had to look harder or listen longer or simply choose one that fit with what was on my mind and heart at that moment. There’s no right or wrong. The main thing to remember is that this is your word. It’s not for your child, parent, partner, spouse, sister, etc.
And what do you do with this one little word?
You live with it. You invite it into you life. You let it speak to you. You might even follow where it leads. There are so many possibilities.
