This concludes this blog.

The End.

Its time to move on. Its been 4 long amazing years that I've documented everything on here. Ups and downs and completely pain in the ass blogger coding issues later, I've decided to take blogging to a new site. I'll keep this blog active so I'll always have the archives of Emma's first 4 years of life.

Its just time to create a more cohesive and fresh blog. I've tried before but it seems that I keep coming back to this one, this time I've come to realize that even though I keep coming back I'm not excited to keep it up anymore. Its not a bad thing.. it just means its time for something new!

and here it is-

I did grab some super cute photos of you and dad but that was it.

Week in the life 10.30

Week in the life day 4 10.30

Morning- woke up, got ready for the day, then headed to school all normal! When we got to school things got kinda crazy... There was a big green monster there! It's from a book you are ready at school so one of the teachers dressed up as one! You guys had so much fun at school today. Your teacher also let me know how big of a kid you've been. She said you've been helping other friends when they need help and teach friends how to slide.

Afternoon- I spent the day working. I'm a director of operations so my day stays packed. I keep a block schedule that I try to follow, but with running a salon/spa with 12 stylists an apprentice, and an esthetician on staff it keeps the pace going. I'm also acting salon coordinator, marketing director, education director, and media director... When you are helping a friend open a new business you do everything you can. With the skills I've acquired over the years I'm perfect for the job.

Night- i was able to get a massage at work before I left then I got to spend the rest of the night with you and dad. So that was perfect! We grabbed dinner, played, placed new coffee table and end tables, went grocery shopping while you napped, and attempted to clean the house. I straightened up, did laundry, and I'm trying to finish dishes.. I just put off one major job- cleaning the bathroom! I hate it. I'm working on a chore list for you... To bad that can't be an emma job ;)

Shopping list-

Toilet paper
Milk
Syrup
Ranch
Brats
Buns
Chips
Pizza
Fruit snacks
Bagels

8:20 school
8:45 Starbucks
9:00 work
1:30 lunch
5:00 off work/nap time
8:00 cleaning/business texts

10:00 emma-practice letter sang alphabet and said matching word and sang alphabet rock and sing wheels on the bus! Practicing our communication
10:00 momma-pinterest, week in the life, facebook, Instagram, and end of the day business planning. Side singing nursery rhymes
10:00 daddy- playing crucible rounds on destiny.

So today I have to admit was way more stressful than yesterday and I'm afraid tomorrow will be much worse. I usually do my best to keep it from home since the stress is from work. So we started off with our regular routine for the morning. It stays very structured and doesn't change much. After I dropped you off I made a stop by Starbucks and grabbed my mocha and then went to work. I'm working as a salon coordinator and I spent the day working as a receptionist and teaching the apprentice we have, making changes to appointments and keeping things up to date. Work was from 930-5 and that totaled the stressful time today. When I got home you were already napping so I joined you and slept til around 8 when I responded to work texts, business texts, and all that. We played around and I got the house cleaned up! You and daddy totally get the privilege of making whatever messes you want during the day. You even rode your bike around the house! How it ended up inside I haven't a clue. We are ending the night with our usual ended winding down to learning on the iPhone, mommy responding to business stuff, social media, and finishing up WITL notes, and daddy playing some destiny! It's such a relaxing evening after the day I've had.

Week in the life 10.29

Week in the life day 3 10.29

I did not track as well today as normal. Since the stressful day I had yesterday today started just as bad...
By the end of the day thanks to amazing people that surround me its ended perfectly!! I spent some major time texting a friend about a new adventure, I got a super awesome gift because my friend rocks, got my birthday gift.... Which was exactly what I wanted from my mom... And best of all I got to spend the night with you and dad! You make every shitty day like 150% better. I love you. Still here's a quick list of what happened today.

So today started out by getting up early and getting ready for school. I get up at 7:15 but I always let you sleep in a little more and cuddle with daddy after he gets off at 7:00. After I'm ready (which is an exact routine mind you) I get you ready. You are the most dramatic morning person. You'll still act half asleep and drag around, force to be held and make mommy put your clothes on just to get you moving... Yep a little drama queen and I love it. After that I drop you off at school and you spend the morning with mrs becky and mrs merin. While you were in class ain't Sam and I went around and did some shopping for aunt Whitney's birthday gift. We still weren't finished when it was time to pick you up so we did some more shopping after. We grabbed some lunch and headed hope before the storm hit. You spent the afternoon painting and working in you preschool workbook with aunt Sam while daddy and I played some destiny. It's a new game on the ps4 that we play a lot. You go around forcing us to play sometimes. You love watching us game and watching our character when we make them dance. After that we relaxed around the house so much that we ended up taking a super long nap! So worth it tho. We didn't end up waking up til around 8. We spent the night painting some more, uploading photos and editing some from the day, watching movies... Despicable me 2 for the second time now, and updating my notes, calorie tracker, posting to the blog, reviewing my calendar and preparing for the rest of the week!

It's always so great to spend the day off snuggled up and doing the things we love to do together. You are seriously the best kid ever and I'm so blessed to spend my days with you. I can't wait to go the rest of the week sharing stories and snapping pictures of your life.

Currently October

October has been an amazing month. I've really embraced my olw brave. This month was full of change, new beginnings, and top secret missions that I hope to one day share with the world. That time isn't now but hopefully soon. I'll share some photos from this month it hopes to keep this blog current. I swear one day it will be more than just currently updates.

Currently September

Welcome fall!! That's all I can think about as the month comes to an end. It's that time where I begin to light only pumpkin spice candles, crave even more Starbucks (if that were possible) and eat as many pumpkin bars as I can find!! It doesn't necessarily feel like fall yet so the corn mazes, pumpkin carving, and leave turning photos are yet to come.

So what's been happening so far?? Belinda the big back to school.. Everything has been calming down and settling right back into place. So as customary.. I'll share a few photos yay!!

Currently July

As another month comes to an end and already half the year over with... I can say one thing. I'm exhausted but enjoying every moment!!

For example look at this block schedule. I keep myself pretty organized and thisat least  keeps me somewhat on track as I become the new operations director for a salon

I've been focusing on Emma, family time  olw, project life, work, relaxing, and getting the salon going.. It's pretty much life consuming now and I'll be honest I can't wait to see what the rest of the year goes.

Sensory Bins- big/small + pretend play

So I've started making sensory bins for you. It would have been a great thing to be doing for the last couple years, but hey better late then never right?! So how did I get started?!

1. Pinterest! That's right it's the usual starting off point for anything I do. It's seriously the best place to go for inspiration. Everytime I get on there I leave inspired to do something new.
I just created a board and searched sensory bins in the search. Tons of great inspiration out there.

2. Organize/sort/toss! I went threw what you had already. I was so stinking tired of all those little toys just laying around. The sensory bins serve a dual purpose- storage and creative play. From here on out I'll probably turn every small toy into a  sensory bin. It's better than this-
I mean really get in there create seperate areas with a focus you can turn the bin into.

3. Purchase containers and fillers! The possibilities here are endless. I went the simplest route for the first bin. I went to search around the dollar store! What a great store for cheap stuff. The total out of pocket for this first bin was $3.19.  <-- what a deal! I grabbed a container and two bags of rice (only used one so technically we are looking at $2.00. For the filler I checked around for some how to color rice tips and found the easiest way was to grab a bag, fill it with vinegar and food coloring, then add the rice and shake, and then set the rice to dry. Super easy but-

** WARNING- the rice stinks!!! I've read about adding essential oils. I will for sure add it next time. I can't stand the smell at all.

4. Assemble the bin!! This was the funniest part. I had separated out some random pink and purple toys I had found. I took Pom poms, bracelets, little bits from a pony book, and some other random pink/purples and added them into the rice filler.

5. Play!! Yep it was so much fun. With this bin we talked about ponies, eating ice cream, big and small, and pretend play.

Currently- March and April

The last two months have been insane! Things in life are finally balancing back out and I'm finding myself able to update things. Most of march and April were such a blur of hectic work schedules, weeks of school, birthdays, wedding events, party planning, and living life that I've been so lost to actually update the blog and document thing. Project life, olw, the blog, and even social media and Pinterest have all but been almost completely forgotten. I try my best not too it just sorta happens when life gets away from you. So let's just get us a nice update of photos to show what's been happening.

Currently- February

As we come to the end of another month... I couldnt be happier than to put February behind us. The first two months of 2014 have been a drain on everyone. I think when you try and start on a new path career wise it's stressful, demanding, and a pain in the ass! Atleast at the end of February I'm completely trained and settled into both my new jobs and we should be going strong by the end of March. February has been a big month for you too... You've worked so hard and it's paying off! You met every goal that school set for you and we will be doing a meeting to set new goals (normally wasn't planned until October) that's how well you are doing. You are communicating so well and we are proud. Besides work, school, and daily life not much else happened in February. I'm catching up you project life spread and my olw pages for the album.. Just can't find a black pen to journal.. Oh life we love you.

Currently- January

The first month of 2014 down and I have to admit it was a whirlwind of crazyness. I started the month and one job, then another one that didn't work out, two interviews, and then ending the month with two weeks off. I'm starting February with a new job in a new salon a friend bought. I've love the weeks off to spend time with you tho it's been relaxing and fun. We've been working on you communication which is coming along amazing!! You withdrew a little after time off from school, but being back for a month and have a couple weeks with mom time it's growing! You are reading words, and repeating words back, and a refining your main words! It's fantastic!

So I'm going to be doing my 52 lists project, doing my olw classes for February, and finish up January project life.
Some photos taken in January!

Project Life 2014 January layouts 1st half

So it's halfway through January and I'm still caught up with my project life believe it or not. I don't do weekly like week 1, week 2 etc but I do them monthly or seasons depending on how I feel. So here is the dividing intro into 2014 page-
Used supplies from the sunshine edition project life, the we r memory keepers captured album, and some thickers and wood veneers. It's a design A page protector I just split the 4x6 with a 3x4 card. I didn't sew you'll see in the second page I went back to standard design A look.
I'm going for clean and minimalistic this month. It always changes throughout the year I just have the clean feel going so far this year.
Then we have my olw insert which I talked about in my other post.
The back to that where I used my quote and my mommy+me photo for January. My hope is to capture a mommy+me, daddy+me, and a #selfie every month.
More olw inserts
My bold intention + strong commitment insert from my olw workshop.
And my final layout. I have a feeling I'll go back and add some writing on those two potty photos to talk about what's going on. January has been a big month with potty training! We haven't had an accident since the start of the new year.

One Little Word 2014- January

So I'm about halfway through the month of January. My word has come into play a few times already. The main reflection I've had was a few nights ago when I had an interview for my new job. I had to do a haircut and I pretty much bombed the interview and I completely fell apart. My confidence dropped and I had a miserable few days of really being concerned as to the new choice I was making. I've never felt at home in a salon and trying to go back to one is very trying on the mind and soul. With such worry and concern I set out to again look for my dream job thinking it would take forever for something that would fit. A couple nights ago Sephora had an opening for a Senior Education Consultant at our local Sephora store and it was like fate!! It's seriously my dream job. I was brave enough not to fall back and stay at my current job out of fear but to keep pushing forward and find my dream job. I haven't hesitated a moment since I seen the opening. I filled out my application that night and the next morning I took my resume to the store in hopes of the hiring manager being in. I walked in confident saying that I would do everything I could to get this job. Luck went my way and the store manager was there to greet me, and we had a mini interview right there in the middle of the store. We talked about the experience I have as an educator in the beauty industry, the fact I've worked for 2 different beauty suppliers, and that I'm a retail store manager. I have some of the perfect skills and background to do the job. So she said that she was new and she's working hard to get to doing interviews and to give her some time, but it's looking very promising that I'll get an interview. So by being brave and not taking a single step backwards no matter how much I wanted too... I might have just landed my dream job, and nailed one of my bold intentions for 2014.

So here's a quick look at the project in my project life album-
